Hello,
Hello there! We are Rob, Joanna and Annabella. Thank you for taking some time to get to know us and a bit of our story. We can only imagine the magnitude of the decision you are making and we pray that you will find God's peace and comfort in whatever decision you make.
We have been married for ten wonderful years and have spent that time growing in our marriage, building careers and for the past three years, loving and caring for Annabella. It was truly God that brought us together, and eventually allowed Annabella to join our family. We feel strongly that God has worked mightily in our lives. During our marriage we have shared sorrow and disappointment as we faced years of infertility and waiting. We feel strongly that our struggles have brought us closer together and created a unique intimacy that we cherish. Adoption was always something that was dear to our hearts, even before we attempted infertility treatments. God has a way of working in spite of us and we couldn't love Annabella any more than we do already.
Joanna was recently able to quit her job as a School Psychologist after ten years, and put her efforts towards making our home a comfortable and loving place. This has been a real blessing as Rob continues to be very busy at work in the computer industry. Joanna and Annabella are very busy themselves, participating in church activities, gymnastics, swimming at both grandparents houses and visiting with family and friends. Joanna is thoroughly enjoying the extra time with Annabella.
Rob talks about Joanna: Joanna is my sweetheart. She makes my heart beat because she is so full of life and love. Joanna is very talented and smart-she can sing, play piano and loves to read. She even has advanced college degrees in the education field. Joanna utilizes her talents creating these awesome picture albums and gift cards. And she's an awesome cook. She definitely has a way with kids. All of them run to her when we visit with family and friends. They are so excited to see her because she's so engaging and interactive. So it's no surprise that she's so great with our little girl. She's a wonderful mom and I can't wait to see her loving and nurturing our next child
My best friend, Rob: Rob is truly my best friend and I love him dearly. Everything I do is more fun when he is with me (even grocery shopping, although he doesn't think so.) Rob is a genuine and caring man. He is always willing to lend a hand and is often called on to help out friends with computer problems. Our nieces and nephews gravitate towards him because he is always playing the goofy uncle. He loves to laugh and make others laugh and I love the sound of it. Rob put off his education to start his computer career, but eventually went back and finished because education is so important to him. I admire his perseverance and strong work ethic. His desire is to provide a solid financial structure for our family so that I can stay home with our children. Rob enjoys the outdoors and loves to hike, bike, play golf, and build things. He is always tinkering around fixing or upgrading things around our house. I anxiously anticipated the day that I would see Rob hold our first child in his arms and I was not disappointed. Rob is an amazing father.
Annabella: Annabella is three years old and is so much fun to be around. The day we met Annabella in the hospital was truly the greatest day of our lives. She brings us incredible joy. Annabella loves to sing and dance, Play in water, get dirty and most of all to be around animals. She is a big time dog lover and her stuffed dogs go everywhere with us. Annabella is a deep thinker, asking very complex and mature questions. Needless to say, she keeps us on our toes. Annabella has been praying and longing for a baby sister/brother to "hold all by myself".
Family: We are very blessed with loving and supportive families. When Annabella came into our lives, they were as deeply touched as we were. Annabella is the apple of everyone's eye and they embrace our plans to adopt again. Our families have imparted in us strong values and the importance of love for God and each other. Joanna has one sister and Rob has two brothers and together they have provided us with nine nieces and nephews. We absolutely enjoy every minute with our families who all live nearby. We also enjoy traveling with our families whether to Yosemite for summer vacation or to the family cabin in the mountains for fun in the snow. Annabella has traveled quite a bit for her young age and she is a great little traveler. Family travels were a big part of our childhood and we are continuing that tradition.
Our promise to our children
We promise to love, nurture and cherish our children and support them in pursuing their dreams. We are fortunate to be able to spend a great deal of time with them and promise to make it a top priority. Our promise to you is to provide unconditional love, spiritual guidance and a fun environment for children to grow. We are committed to being Godly examples and providing a safe and happy home for our children. There will be no shortage of kisses and hugs in our home. We also promise to be the best example of love and family that we can be. Our children will know their adoption story and the wonderful way that our family was created.
