Elise and Jonathan
Hello!
We would like to thank you for taking the time to learn a little about us. As a couple with big hearts and the belief in the power of a strong, nurtured and loving family, we are excited about the opportunity to grow our family. We would be honored to enable endless possibilities for your child.
We are a playful, creative, fun-loving family who enjoy life and all it has to offer. We enjoy traveling and spending time with people we love. Having family and friends all over the US and Europe gives us more than enough reasons to travel. Since getting married in Hawaii on 7/7/07, the islands have become our home away from home and we have made it a point to visit every summer since.
Elise moved to Los Angeles in 1998 after growing up in New Jersey and going to college in Maryland. She immediately found a job teaching and has been doing so ever since – currently she teaches Kindergarten part-time. She adores children and enjoys helping them reach their potential. While active in many volunteer programs, Elise is most proud of her participation in the 60 Mile Walk for the Cure – raising funds for Breast Cancer research – where she has recently completed her 10th walk! Three words to best describe Elise are compassionate, patient and silly.
Jonathan grew up in Miami and moved to Los Angeles for the entertainment industry 18 years ago after graduating from Boston University. For the past ten years, he has owned a marketing, production and development company working with movie studios and small companies around the world. Jonathan is a huge fan of sports and has played softball for years. His love of music, film and art can be seen and heard throughout our house. Jonathan has volunteered with children, teenagers, AIDS research and artist development since arriving in Los Angeles. Three words to best describe Jonathan are optimistic, creative and kind.
In September of 2008 our daughter Jensen was born. She is more fun than we imagined. Whether we are riding bikes and playing at the park or building sandcastles on the beach, chances are that we are laughing. Jensen is eager to have a younger brother or sister to share her time, toys and love with. She loves the concept of adoption!
We have been fortunate and own a four-bedroom house in a great neighborhood with lots of kids, lots of parks and easy access to the beach. Our house is perfect for entertaining and is very rarely found without extra people in it. When we are not at home, we can most likely be found trying out new restaurants, going to outdoor concerts, wandering through the aquarium or checking out the local farmer’s market. We rarely pass up an opportunity to experience something new. One thing that is certain is that no matter where we are or what we are doing, we will be having fun and enjoying each other!
