Thank you for considering adoption. We appreciate you taking the time to get to know a little about us. Our desire to adopt began when we were first married and in our twenties. Seven years later, we have a 2-1/2 year old son whom we love but our hearts still call us to adopt.
We believe that a family that provides love and a good home environment is in the best position to meet a child's needs. We are that family and we would treasure the opportunity to adopt.
We rejoice in everyday special things like living in a nice family neighborhood in coastal Orange County. We love walking to the beach for fun in the sand and surf, onto the marina to cast for fish, or into the wetland preserve to search for blue heron, sand pipers and wild rabbits.
Back at home, we enjoy our meals in the backyard where we dine on authentic Chinese meals as well as more traditional American faire.
After eating, we play on the background play-structure that Mark built (go figure: he's an architect and Director of a construction management company) or we go to the country club to splash around in the pool. We see education as a critical part of a child's growth and it's not something to simply be delegated. For years, Mark volunteered as a tutor to at-risk youths and we both have taken our son's education into our hands: teaching him the alphabet, counting, and Mandarin vocabulary.
Jie is Owner and CEO of an investment management company, she has had the opportunity to craft her schedule to our child's needs to ensure an environment of growth and development.
We like to travel a great deal and Jie tends to plan these trips. Day trips are frequent and we enjoy such places as the San Diego Zoo and the California Science Center. Overnight trips tend to include places like the Monterey Bay Aquarium, Lake Arrowhead, and State Parks. When we travel further, we enjoy spending our time in China with friends and family or heading to Hawaii for simple relaxation.
Our hope is to bring another child into our family. We hope we have impressed upon you the love and security that we long to and can provide.
