Helping Birth Mothers in Challenging Circumstances

It is a courageous act for a birth mother to make an adoption plan for her child. We believe that a woman who chooses adoption gives more than anyone else in the world! There is no gift, no matter the value, that is bigger or more significant than the life of a child. They realize they are not able to provide everything they want for their child and want to see their child have the best future.

At the Center for Family Building, Law Office of Ted R. Youmans, we serve as a resource for birth mothers as they face the emotional and legal process of adoption.

We will help you understand what adoption entails and serve as a resource to help you find a loving home for your child, whether a new-born or toddler. Whether you wish to choose the adoptive parents or you prefer a closed adoption, we can guide you through these arrangements at no expense to you. It is very common to receive annual updates about the child and adoptive parents are allowed to provide reasonable birth-related expenses to support for you during the pregnancy.

Ted R. Youmans is a Fellow of the American Academy of Adoption Attorneys and the Academy of California Adoption Lawyers, select groups of adoption attorneys committed to ethical, caring and skilled practice of adoption law. He has received an AV-rating* in a peer review rating process and his work has influenced the development of adoption law in California. He is also a caring individual who has himself been personally touched by adoption. We are passionately dedicated to doing all we can to provide children with opportunities for stable, healthy lives.

Pregnant, homeless or in crisis? An expectant mother? Lawyer Ted R. Youmans is available 24 hours a day to help you get a private adoption plan in place in order to give a child the stability and security of a loving home. We serve as a free resource for you to discuss your questions and concerns and to discuss the steps in the adoption process. Call 866-716-1328 or contact us online.

Adoption Is About Creating The "Best" Plan For Your Child

Even if you are a mother who is in crisis and even tests positive for drug use at the hospital, the Center for Family Building can work with you to keep the newborn out of the dependency system or foster home if you desire to privately place the child in an adoptive home you choose or through a private adoption agency. We will work with the hospital and social worker so that you can make the choice to place the baby in the loving arms of an adoptive family.
